How long has AI been around?

Answer: AI has been around for decades. While AI might feel like a cutting-edge breakthrough, the concept has actually been around since the 1950s. Back then, early systems were already tackling tasks like playing chess and solving complex math problems—planting the seeds for the powerful tools we use today.

What is it? 

PlayHT is by far my favorite conversational voice cloning tool. There is a lot buzz about others such as 11Labs, which is very good, as well. However, I have spent over 500 hours with the different voice models and Play.HT consistently comes through as the most natural, conversational sounding model.

This is a rapid clone using 30 seconds of audio. You can make a convincing voice clone that sounds like this.

This is a high resolution clone using 2 hours of audio (for nerds like me). You can make an incredible voice clone that sounds like this!

And of course sometimes things just go sideways. Same prompt, same engine….but somehow a poltergeist got in there! This actually happens sometimes!

What is it? 

Ok - so most of us already know what Claude is. But many of us are still figuring out how best to use it. So here goes a 2 sentence crash course.

Claude is better for writers.

ChatGPT is for researchers.

I like to say Claude is right brain (more creative and intuitive), ChatGPT is left brain (more logic oriented). Of course these are generalizations because both can be used for both. However, Claude more intuitively leans into the writing side of things without having to craft the prompt so specifically.

In an upcoming newsletter, I’ll do a post on prompts for both platforms. We’ll be focusing on best practices for social media channels!

How it helps you

Claude can take your stream of conscious writing and formulate it into a cohesive piece of writing while keeping your voice, style and intent. Here’s an example.
