Instant music that’s actually good!
Who’s it for?
Anyone who needs some quick music for a social post, podcast, short film, etc.
What is it?
I studied music in college and spent the last 30 years songwriting and composing, so an AI tool that writes music for me is a hard sell. But if I can get on board, anyone should be able to!
Beatoven will take a text prompt, even something pretty simple, and create some very interesting music from it. Yes, I was impressed. Is it perfect? Not at all. Is it completely useful for certain applications? Heck YES! It’s quick, easy to use and will get you something royalty free and super effective quicker than you can say, “Hey Siri….find me a song that sounds like….”
I gave it this prompt to see how it handles a very specific musical genre.

and this is what it created in less than 30 seconds. I am going to use this for a post! In fact…..I am, and you’re listening to it.
What is it?
Perplexity AI is an AI-powered search engine and chatbot that aims to provide comprehensive, concise, and up-to-date answers to user queries by searching the web in real-time and summarizing information from multiple sources.
This is a tool similar to You.com which I featured in Newsletter volume #4. It just makes your internet searches more useful by summarizing the results with useful info and pointing you to the resources. Basically the internet has gotten so HUGE that we need something to hold our hand while we decipher all the results. That’s what this is.
